My Sweet Little Blessings

This is either my first year, second year, third year, fourth year, fifth year, or sixth year of homeschooling. It depends when you start counting. My oldest is now five almost six and I can finally say she is homeschooled because she is kindergarten age. I have known ever since she was born that I was going to homeschool her, and have been teaching her ever since. It is amazing to me to watch them as they learn and grow.

It is equally amazing to me when I realize how different two people can be when they both grew inside of me. My other child is a boy and he is going to be four soon. My daughter couldn't be more different than my son if she tried. She is a princess always primping and playing dress up, and he thinks he is Spiderman always climbing and jumping.

But for being so different they sure do love each other. There is nothing more sweet to me than seeing them enjoy each other. I love to see them looking through a book together and giggling. The way my son's face lights up when we go to pick up his sister from Sunday School is priceless. And when I go upstairs to give them kisses before going to sleep and I see that my son has snuck into my daughter's bed and they are snuggled together looking like little angels my heart melts. I love that they are best friends and I am so happy that we have the chance to homeschool so that they have more time to grow in their friendship.

I wanted to start this blog to have a record of our homeschooling journey. I have learned in just the last five and a half years that they aren't kidding when they say that time just flies. My heart hurts sometimes when I look at their sweet innocent faces and realize in a blink of an eye they will be grown. I am so thankful for what a blessing these children are to me and the time that the Lord has allowed me to care for and love them. God is good!
